Christmas raffle to help those struggling

Deepwater Older Women's Network will hold its annual Christmas raffle over the next week, with tickets being sold in Woy Woy and Umina.

"All proceeds from the raffle will go to Mary Mac's, Care4Coast and the SDA Food Pantry in Woy Woy as well as Allawah House, an initiative to house older women who have been victims of domestic and or family violence get in safe and affordable housing," said Deepwater network secretary Ms Jennifer Brown.

"Contributions will help those struggling with cost of living pressures and put food on the table for those who would otherwise go without."

Tickets will be sold in Deepwater Plaza adjacent to KMart on Wednesday and Thursday this week, December 13 and 14.

They will also be on sale outside Stephenson's Real Estate on West St, Umina, during the Umina Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 16.

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch will draw the raffle in her Woy Woy offices on December 18, allowing time for the winners to have their prize before Christmas Day.
