Folk club to hold its traditional Christmas concert
The Troubadour Folk Club will hold its traditional Christmas Concert at the Everglades Country Club from 7pm next Saturday, December 16.
"The Troubadour Christmas Tradition is to make the final concert of the year a rollicking good party for everyone," said club president Mr Michael Fine.
"We sure have the talent to do it.
"It is a time for Troubadour members, regular audience and participants, local musicians, guests and anyone else who like to take part to get your act together and join in.
"There'll be plenty of great the music on stage.
"All the music, verses and funny stories all night come from our members and audience."
This year's theme is Songs of the Sea.
"You can expect a few sea shanties, as well as songs and verses about pirates and mermaids," said Mr Fine.
"There'll also be plenty of others about sun, sand, sea, surf, fishing, transportation by sea or rivers, whaling and ballads and all sorts of boats, even submarines.
"There may even be a special song about an oyster, an octopus or other sea creatures."
Mr Fine said that all Funds raised on the night would go to support the work of the Woy Woy Pelican Lady, Ms Wendy Gillespie.
Tickets for the night will cost $10.
