Tip road may be closed after hours

Council is to advertise the closure of Nagari Rd near the Woy Woy landfill, between the hours of 5.30pm and 6.30am.

A locked gate would be installed to prevent vehicles being abandoned and the dumping of rubbish on the roadside after hours.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and a property owner who requires access from Nagari Rd will be notified if council proceeds with the closure of the road.

The NPWS, the property owner, and other relevant authorities requiring access through the locked gate would be issued with a universal key, if Council were to proceed with the road closure.

Pedestrian thoroughfare near the proposed gate would be maintained for access to the Great North Walk.

Any public comments received as a result of the advertisement will be considered at the next council traffic committee meeting.
