The Under-14s had a one-all draw against the Gosford team and the All-Age 3 teams played Southern Ettalong United eventually winning three goals to two.

Club president Barry Cole said: "Umina Soccer Club has been growing every year.

"It was only a matter of time before we fielded girl only teams.

"The girls in the Under-14 teams are so devoted to soccer that most of them play in mixed teams on Saturday as well," Barry added.

Umina Soccer Club now boasts 614 registered players, is the largest on the Peninsula and is the seventh largest out of the 22 clubs across the Central Coast, he said.

"Next year, we will be looking for more girls who want to play soccer in all girls' teams, especially in the junior competition from 10 to 16 years.

"We are hoping to fill an under-16 girls team which will be girls from 14 to 16 years old," Barry said.
