Volunteer hairdressers wanted
The Red Cross Home Support Service is actively looking for someone on the Peninsula to give haircuts to homebound or disabled people.
Red Cross Home Support co-ordinator Mrs Gitan Armour said: "Having a haircut along with a friendly chat is an enormous boost to a client's self esteem.
"If you are a retired or part-time hairdresser and are looking to help your community, here's your chance.
Mrs Armour said: "There are clients on the Peninsula who need haircuts and we don't have a hairdresser on the Peninsula.
"Full training is provided and all that is needed is a few hours of your time each month."
