Teachers brush up on computer skills
Teachers at Pretty Beach Public School were released from teaching for a half day on June 27 to participate in a computer skills development activity.
Teachers learned about the EduWeb program which will lead towards the development of computer-generated student portfolios.
Casual teachers were employed for the day so that educational programs were not interrupted.
The school's focus on technology this year has enabled teachers to become skilled in using Publisher and Excel.
These skills will be used in both lesson presentation and administration.
Education Week, to be held in week eight of term three, will see students exhibiting computer-related learning skills to parents.
