Computer skills were assessed

Year 6 students from Pretty Beach PS have taken part in the first compulsory State-wide computer skills assessment.

They completed a pencil and paper test which will be marked and reported along similar lines to the Basic Skills Test.

Later in the term, year 6 will participate in the trial of a hands-on component to the test.

Once again, Pretty Beach school was nominated as a pilot school due to its emphasis on developing student technology skills in 2003.
