Call centre to be set up in Woy Woy

Traineeships are being offered for new Vodafone call centre to be set up in Chambers Place, Woy Woy, in the former Tile Barn building.

The call centre trainee operators will be telemarketing mobile phone upgrade packages to existing Vodafone customers all around the country.

The call centre is intended to open in the next two weeks.

In addition to the telemarketers, there will be a CEO and an accountant on the premises.

The traineeships in call centre operations have attracted people ranging in age from around 16 years old up to people in their mid-30s.

The call centre will operate from 10.30am to 7.30pm.

Ten traineeships are on offer, with 40 people gaining screening interviews.

The successful trainees will be employed on a permanent full time basis for a 12-month period.

The applicant requirements for the traineeships are outgoing personality, enjoy communicating via the telephone, sales oriented, and commitment to completing the traineeship.

Successful applicants will commence their traineeships as soon as possible.

Remuneration will be at the national training wage.
