No traffic calming for Killcare Rd

Gosford Council has refused a request for traffic calming and/or guardrail on Killcare Rd, Killcare, on the bend near number 17, following a request from Ms M Schwehm.

Ms Schwehm advised of a recent accident where a vehicle lost control at the top of Killcare Rd, mounted the kerb and gutter and collided with a parked car.

The council traffic committee minutes reported: "A site inspection has revealed that due to the proximity of access crossings at this location, the provision of guardrail would not be possible.

"The accident described appears to be an isolated incident and traffic calming is not considered warranted at this location.

"The hairpin bend at the top of Killcare Rd is sufficient to slow traffic entering Killcare Rd."
