Police appeal for help with robbery

Police attached to the Brisbane Water Anti-Theft Squad investigating the robbery of a property at Ettalong are appealing for help from members of the public.

Senior Constable Tamara O'Mally said that sometime during Friday, May 2, a storage unit on a property on The Esplanade at Ettalong was broken into, and a large amount of Converse apparel and shoes were taken.

"The apparel stolen included T-shirts and shorts, which are not due for retail release until September," Sen Const O'Mally said.

"Also stolen were 100 shoes, none of which are in pairs.

"In all, the clothing is valued at more than $10,000.

"We are asking for anybody who might have been offered cheap Converse clothing or know of anyone who has to contact Gosford Police or Crime Stoppers immediately."

Anyone with information which might assist police is urged to contact Gosford Police Station on 4323 5599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous if they wish and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.
