Public invited to view wetland

Members of the public have been invited to visit the sole remnant of a melaleuca wetland on the Woy Woy Peninsula on June 14, as part of World Environment Day activities.

The site is approximately five acres and is located at the end of Boronia Ave and Kerrawah Boulevarde next to the Everglades golf course.

Volunteers have been working on the regeneration of the site since 1996 and will be doing so again on June 14, their closest working day to World Environment Day on June 5.

Visitors are encouraged to be there between 9am and 11am when they will be shown a surprising natural wonder being nurtured in the midst of suburbia.

With inquiries, telephone 4341 3960.
