Different politics, same objective

Federal Liberal MP Mr Jim Lloyd, State Labor MP Ms Marie Andrews and local independent Cr Lynne Bockholt all worked together on the Peninsula recently to raise money for the Central Coast Community Chest.

All three agreed to work behind the counter at Woy Woy McDonalds raising money during "McHappy Day" to support the Community Chest, which in turn supports up to 60 locally-based charities, as well as McDonald House.

"McHappy Day at Woy Woy McDonalds was good fun," said Mr Lloyd.

"I believe I didn't cause too much chaos."

Mr Lloyd said that the event was "supported in a big way" and thanked McDonalds for its contribution.

Woy Woy McDonalds saw the culmination of McHappy Time - a range of activities to raise money for children's programs supported by various charities such as Ronald McDonald House Charities, Bonnie Babes, Salvation Army, Careflight, Camp Quality and Kidsafe - with McHappy Day held on Saturday, May 10.
