Playground equipment may be replaced

The playground equipment formerly at the corner of Noble and Stanley Sts, Killcare, opposite the fire station, has been removed by Gosford Council.

It was in a state of disrepair and was of a type for which parts were no longer manufactured, according to Gosford Council's manager of recreation services, Mr Peter Hickman.

Mr Hickman said: "At the moment, we hope to replace the playground equipment in the next 12 months.

"We'll be looking at the issue with the next budget on July 1."

Mr Hickman said: "We'd love to be able to replace the old equipment out there immediately.

"But unfortunately we just don't have the money."
