Positive risk-taking

Year 9 and 10 students at Woy Woy High School saw a play focussing on positive risk-taking last month as part of their welfare day.

Brainstorm Productions put on a performance entitled Cheap Thrills.

According to organiser, Woy Woy High teacher, Ms Kirrily Ogle, the play was about "that split second when we reach a crossroad, make a choice, take a risk and possibly change our lives forever".

"The play explored drinking, smoking, taking pills and reckless behaviour, confusion by hormones and accidents," she said.

"The characters in the play discovered that the biggest risk of all is to stand up and take responsibilities for your actions.

"The day was enjoyable and thought-provoking."
