Folk club holds children's workshop

The Troubadour Folk Club will present a Children's Music Workshop in support of Aunties and Uncles Family Co-Operative on Friday, January 12.

The workshop is an all-day event for children aged seven to 12 years and concludes with an evening concert.

The workshop fee is $25 and includes cost of instruments, materials, instruction, lunch and evening barbecue.

Concert entry is $5.

Registration, instruction and preparation for the workshop is from 10am to 12 noon at Umina on Saturday, January 6.

Activities for the day include percussion, instrument-making and instruction, recorder instruction, drama, acting and song.

Children will use their skills learnt throughout the day to participate in the evening concert.

Organisers recommended early booking to ensure a place at the workshop.

The Troubadour Folk Club performs on the first Thursday each month at 304 on West Umina, with its main club evening on the second Friday of each month at the CWA Hall, Woy Woy.

Acoustic musicians are always welcome so come along and enjoy the evening and perform a few songs.
