Planning better communities

Planning Minister Dr Andrew Refshauge announced the planning strategy for the Peninsula at the recent Central Coast Moving Forward forum at Mingara. Here is the full text of his speech notes.

So, these are some of the things we are doing which are making a difference on the Central Coast.

Some of the things which will move the Central Coast forward.

And which will ensure that we have better planned communities.

In partnership with you, we can do the planning and provide the infrastructure.

It's up to you to provide the community spirit.

But this is here and is growing.

The key ingredients are a shared vision for the Central Coast, greater regional self-containment, and a belief in the ability and capacity of each other.
