Cushion for exercise

Concerned about travel or venous thrombosis? Suffer from diabetes or arthritis? Have you just had remedial bone, knee or hip surgery?

Respected local identity, Ms Heather McKenzie, said she recommended an inflatable exercise cushion used to stimulate circulation when seated.

Heather said she talked about the cushion at a recent Woy Woy Older Women's Network meeting, generating quite a bit of interest.

The cushion is divided into two compartments by a weld through which a passage allows only restricted air transfer between the two sections.

By half-filling with air, the cushion could be pedalled, as if it were a bicycle.

As the air is moved from one side, the other is filled with air.

It may also be used with a "treadle action", that is, pressing down with both heels and then with both toes across the centre division.

Ms McKenzie said she agreed with a testimonial that there was "great potential for this product amongst senior members of our community".
