Fishing news
Water temperature is rising and if we can keep the winds away things should start to fire.
The fishos are coming up with nice flathead, bream and after spawning, the whiting are starting to move, many around the 500g mark.
Give Saratoga Flats a go, drifting or pick-up, with live blood worms working well.
Tailor are starting to move along the beaches.
Dusk is the time to fish for them.
Pilchards or metal spinners should work well.
Whiting, bream and flathead are also being caught on the beaches.
You do not have to cast far out for these predators.
Peeled prawns, live beach or blood worms and pippies are great baits.
Ocean fishermen have been going well with good snapper, morwong, leather jackets and other mixed reef fish.
Kingies are early, as well as dolphin fish.
Not large as yet, but they are about.
They are still wide, but as the water temperature increases they should come in closer.
When fishing let someone know where you are going and when you will return.
Do it safely and take care.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
