Students praised for torch show
Woy Woy High School principal, Ms Carolyn Carter, has voiced her delight at local school's performance at the Torch Relay celebrations held late last month.
"This was a very moving experience for the thousands of people who attended the celebrations," she said.
"After a tremendous downpour at about 2.50pm, it didn't look very promising, certainly not inviting.
"The two most outstanding features were the happy, friendly atmosphere and the school spectacular.
"To see all of those students performing with precision and enthusiasm was simply magnificent.
"The costumes were brilliant, the timing spot on, and the cooperation and teamwork were excellent.
"No one could doubt our young people after witnessing this spectacular.
"Congratulations to our students who performed in the spectacular and to Ms Herdman who choreographed 'Sport', one of the major sections of the spectacular.
"Thank you also to Ms Ogle and Mr Borrow-Jones who helped get the students to rehearsals and helped out on the evening."
