Workers serve at Olympics

The McDonald's crew from Woy Woy was selected to work at one of the seven McDonald's restaurants at the Olympic Games

"It's exciting that crew from our area have been selected to work at our most important restaurants ever built in Australia," said Mr John Ursino, owner-operator of McDonald's Woy Woy.

More than 1300 staff Australia-wide have been selected to work at the Olympic Games.

"There are two restaurants in the Olympic Village for athletes and our crew will also be serving media from around the world in the two press centres," said John.

"Our crew have undergone some intensive training for their Olympic work and will be well prepared for their tasks at Games time.

"Without the assistance from the Central Coast area, it would have been difficult to guarantee the level of service that our customers have come to expect from Mc Donald's," said John.

"Following the Olympic Games are the Paralympic Games, where we will be operating four restaurants at Sydney Olympic Park including the Olympic Village, and we have a number of our crew who will work through both events."

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am delighted that the local area will be represented."

"I am sure that they will have many exciting Olympic experiences to share with other crew and customers when they return to our store after the Games," said John.
