Students from Hakata High School in Japan visited Woy Woy High recently.

The Hakata students and vice principal arrived to a "beautiful day and the Peninsula in its glory", according to Woy Woy High School principal, Ms Carolyn Carter.

"On Monday, they went on a cruise around the Brisbane Water, shopping in Woy Woy and had lunch at the Pizza Hut.

"They arrived back to school just before a storm broke.

"Then we held a welcoming ceremony for them and exchanged gifts.

"Hakata Girls' High School gave us two books about the city of Fukuoka, where the students live, as well as a wall hanging and a plaque to commemorate the10th year that Hakata Girls' High have visited local schools."
