Japanese students visit
Students from Hakata High School in Japan visited Woy Woy High recently.
The Hakata students and vice principal arrived to a "beautiful day and the Peninsula in its glory", according to Woy Woy High School principal, Ms Carolyn Carter.
"Our generous families were very enthusiastic and excited about meeting their student for Homestay," she said.
"On Monday, they went on a cruise around the Brisbane Water, shopping in Woy Woy and had lunch at the Pizza Hut.
"They arrived back to school just before a storm broke.
"Then we held a welcoming ceremony for them and exchanged gifts.
"Hakata Girls' High School gave us two books about the city of Fukuoka, where the students live, as well as a wall hanging and a plaque to commemorate the10th year that Hakata Girls' High have visited local schools."
