New manager for club

The new secretary-manager of Woy Woy Bowling Club, Mr Mark Landon, has said the decision to renovate the club was essential to its on-going viability.

"The club faces many challenges in the future, adjusting to new tax regimes, increased costs on operating poker machines, rising costs of liquor and a vastly more competitive market-place vying for the consumer's dollar," he said.

"This places a great degree of importance on the success of the new development.

"The renovation project will help guarantee a bright and prosperous future."

Mr Landon said thanked members for their warm welcome and said he would make himself known to members.

Mr Landon replaced Mr Trevor Haynes who has taken a position at another club.
