Keep some promises

How long do we have to pay rates and be a resident of Umina?

I am a follower of dance venues in this area, which keeps us mature people off the streets and out of trouble.

To keep to the point, dancers can become professional and receive prizes and medals in a short time.

Now the big questions regarding my stay in Umina.

I was advised kerbing and guttering would only be two years away. Fourteen years later we are still waiting.

I’m delighted for the play areas and skate parks for the children which I see on my walks around this beautiful area, but I am afraid if I keep my exercise program up, I will be a cripple as the roads are so dangerous to walk on.

Second promise broken.

I live beside a creek which was lovely when I came here.

Now it is filthy and infested and the poor birds and wild life have emigrated to a more salubrious area.

Take heed, my "Sleepy Hollow" is disappearing before my eyes.

So come on the powers-that-be.

Keep some promises and make Umina the safe place for the older as well as the younger.
