Ettalong development draws interest to Coast
Peninsula developments such as the fast ferry service and the Ettalong Beach Resort have drawn reports of interest from Top 500 companies and overseas government departments.
They were looking to invest in the area, according to Central Coast Economic Development Board (CCEDB) chairman Councillor Tony Sansom.
Cr Sansom said the board was overwhelmed with the response of their latest marketing strategy, which involved mailing-out of a prospectus outlining the advantages of doing business in the area
"We have received numerous inquiries from Sydney companies regarding relocation and industrial land on the Central Coast," he said.
The board also sent copies of the prospectus to embassies and consulates.
"We received an immediate reply from the United States Department of Commerce, whose senior commercial officer will be meeting with the board shortly to discuss all aspects of investment in the Central Coast," said Cr Sansom.
"The CCEDB will be working hard to ensure that these opportunities are translated into sustainable local jobs."
