Roadwork plans on display

Plans for roadworks on the Peninsula are on display at Umina and Woy Woy libraries.

One plan is for a roundabout to be constructed at the intersection of Bourke and Barrenjoey Roads.

The single lane roundabout is designed for improved traffic safety and will have pedestrian refuges on all approaches.

A second display is of plans for improved traffic safety at the intersection of Picnic Parade and Maitland Bay Drive.

This project will provide a protected right-hand turn into Picnic Parade, a left-turn lane for traffic turning from Picnic Parade, an acceleration lane for traffic turning right from Picnic Parade, improved traffic lane definition and an on-road cycleway in both directions.

Both sets of plans will be on display until 5 pm on April 21.
