Woy Woy students on TV weather
Students and their families from Woy Woy Public School were featured on the Channel 10 weather segment on Tuesday, November 25.
The Channel 10 news crew set up in the grounds of Woy Woy Public School and broadcast live.
Principal Mr Warwick Hannon said that it was a great opportunity to promote the Woy Woy school.
"But the rain poured down and kept everyone all under cover and in the hall," he said.
"Most of the students and their families were able to get their faces on TV."
In other news at the school, teachers plan to take industrial action on Tuesday, December 2.
Mr Hannon said that this was as a result of the failure of the NSW Government and the Teachers' Federation to reach an agreement on teachers' salaries.
Meanwhile, from the start of next year, the Department of Education and Training has changed the process of funding for students with mild intellectual or language disabilities.
Mr Hannon said that these students will not receive individual funding, but the school will be provided with an amount of money based on the needs.
He also said that at this time the school's learning support team is investigating its options.
