Putty Beach fees rise
Fees for vehicle entry, annual passes and camping in Putty Beach camping area and others in Boudii National Park will increase in May next year as part of an overall increase by NPWS.
At Putty Beach, where park fees apply, the vehicle entry fee will go from $6 to $7 and a $10 entry to Sydney's metropolitan parks will be $11.
There will also be some changes to camping fees.
At Putty Beach and Little Beach, camping fees will rise from $7.50 per adult per night to $8, but will remain at $4 per child per night plus the cost of vehicle entry.
At off-peak times, it is currently $5 for adults and $3 per children each day. This will remain the same.
At Tallow Beach Camping Area, fees will remain at $3 per adult per night, $2 per child per night and no vehicle fees apply.
Deputy Director-General, Department of Environment and Conservation Dr Tony Fleming said that following a regular consumer price index (CPI) -based review of park use fees the increases have been rounded to the nearest dollar.
"These are the first increases in three years and in some cases there will be no changes to current prices.
"Fees are required to assist in providing, maintaining and managing our quality nature based visitor facilities and services within our world class national park system," Dr Fleming said.
Detailed information on the new fees is available from the NPWS website at www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au
