Grant for pre-school improvements
The State Government has approved a $5500 upgrade for Woy Woy Peninsula Pre-school.
"This money will be used to upgrade facilities such as children's toilets, security fencing, shade, playground equipment, washing facilities, and hot water services," according to Member for Peats, Ms Marie Andrews.
The Central Coast has benefited from grants of $108,000 in total with nine pre-schools receiving improvements, she said.
Ms Andrews said that the funding was part of the Carr Government's commitment to providing the quality childcare relied upon by so many families.
"It means the government is significantly improving the quality of early childhood care available right across the state.
"The funding has been prioritised to ensure that pre-schools that have limited access to other revenue are able to deliver higher quality services."
