Residents oppose subdivision

A petition has been received by Gosford Council from residents of Starboard Ave, Bensville, objecting to the proposed subdivision of land at lot 161.

The 44 petitioners stated that the proposed development did not conform with the standards and building rules and was detrimental to the overall aesthetic appeal of the estate.

It restricted the common access to the last tree-shaded area that was regularly frequented by estate residents, they said.

The petitioners claimed that the proposed dwelling was in breach of Council's building regulations and would also breach a tree preservation order.
