Walk looks at bushfire effects

The Association for Environmental Education has planned an excursion to Warrah Trig on Sunday, June 15, as a bushfire community education walk.

A group will meet at 9:30am at the Woy Woy Environment Centre or at 10am at Warrah Trig Lookout Carpark.

To go to the Trig lookout from Woy Woy, follow Ocean Beach Rd to Umina.

Turn right at the roundabout and follow the signs to Patonga past the Mt Ettalong headland.

At the top of the hill head, continue past the Pearl Beach turnoff still heading towards Patonga.

The Warrah Trig tumoff is 2.2km past the Pearl Beach tumoff, on the left.

It is a dirt road but fine for all cars.

The car park is at the end of the road.

The leader will be Christine O'Brien, an environmental educator with 10 years experience with NPWS and 18 years experience as a consultant in environmental communications.

Wear walking shoes, cut lunch and water. The day will involve light walking only.

Please book by ringing Peter on 4328 1810.
