Board games for recreation
Brisbane Water Secondary College, Umina Campus, has introduced a new recreational initiative for Year 7 students.
Since May 12, Year 7 students have had the opportunity to play board games during recess and lunch breaks on selected days of the week.
All games are provided by the College.
The initiative is run by peer support leaders and supervised by either house patrons or head teachers.
The college has acknowledged these student leaders for giving up their lunch times to run and supervise the board game activities.
It is hoped that the initiative will be the first of many programs providing entertainment or recreational opportunities for students during recess and lunch periods.
