Liam wins Gold Coast holiday

Six year old Liam Stone of Woy Woy has won a five-day holiday on the Gold Coast for his family.

Liam was the lucky winner of the Central Coast prize available on "McHappy Day" held on May 10.

"Liam Stone nagged his father to buy a helping hand in aid of Central Coast Community Chest and this enabled him to go in the draw that resulted in the major prize win", said Community Chest general manager Mr Chris Holstein.

"McHappy Day" involves celebrities helping McDonald's staff selling product.

A dollar from every "Big Mac" sold on the day as well as money raised from the sale of $1 "helping hands" was collected and given to the Central Coast Community Chest for distribution to local charities.

This year, the combined total collected through all McDonald's stores on the Central Coast was $27,399.

Woy Woy McDonald's won a trophy for selling the most "helping hands", retaining the status it won last year.

At a cheque and prize presentation held at McDonald's Woy Woy, Central Coast Community Chest chairman, Mr Ron Bell, thanked sponsors Harvey World travel, Erina and McDonald's for their support saying that the funds raised "will be distributed directly to children's and youth charities around the Coast".
