Environment committee at school

Pretty Beach Public School has set up an environment committee.

Made up of interested staff, parents, students and community members, it is part of the school's commitment to the Sustainable Schools Program.

The school's participation in the program provides it with support in developing, implementing, and evaluating its environmental management plan.

The program is a joint partnership between the Department of Education and Training and Resources NSW and is presently being developed as a statewide pilot program.

The program is also an extension of the Environmental Education Policy for Schools.
