Centre opens for Environment Day
The Woy Woy Environment Centre will be open on World Environment Day, June 5, between 10am and 4pm.
Gosford Council and the management committee of the centre have arranged a number of activities for the day.
Gosford Council will have 160 mixed native trees and shrubs to give away.
Visitors will have the opportunity to complete an ecological footprint survey.
The Ocean Watch trailer will be at the centre between 1 and 4pm, after visiting local schools.
Two education officers will be on hand to provide information about commercial and recreational fishing industries, and environmental management issues.
There will also be a continuously running slide show with images of the wetlands of the Brisbane Water estuary.
The Woy Woy Environment Centre is situated on the corner of Blackwall Rd and Billabong St, Woy Woy.
