Sensible solution

Cr Debra Wales' suggestion that a plan of management be made for the Esplanade is a sensible solution and an alternative to placing a shipping container on the foreshore - although that would be interesting.

If all the existing and future vegetation were kept to fence level, everyone - residents, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists - could all enjoy a sea view along the whole length of the Esplanade.

To make the walkway-cycleway on the Esplanade easier to traverse by pedestrians and cyclists, trimming of the vegetation is needed now.

The pathway is narrow enough as it is, without the encroachment of the vegetation.

Yes, viewing platforms would be great - how about a wide boardwalk (as in Atlantic City) from Umina Beach to Ettalong? Dream on!
