Police patrol wanted

Empire Bay Public School principal, Mr Gordon Fraser, said he will make a formal request for local police to patrol Empire Bay Drive because he claimed motorists were not heeding traffic rules and were placing his students in danger.

"There continues to be considerable danger posed to our children by motorists who refuse to obey the traffic signs and signals," he said.

"The P&C requested that I again approach the police and ask that they patrol the area around the school.

"Last year, when a similar request was made, a significant number of motorists were booked but if this is what it takes to ensure the safety of our children then so be it."
