The Pretty Beach, Wagstaffe and District Progress Association will present a "concert by the bay" entitled Celebrating Australia on Saturday, March 17, at the Wagstaffe Community Hall.

Commemorating the centenary of Federation, entertainment will include song, poetry, drama, visual backdrops and audience participation.

Performers will include the local children’s Harmni Bush Band and the Pretty Beach School Choir led by Narelle Jones.

Local residents, soprano Emma Pratt and baritone Noel Melvin will sing, while vocalist Chris Dillon will be accompanied by Clive Williams on guitar.

Bob Sennett will present Australian poems and stories.

The matinee performance, which includes light refreshments, commences at 2.30pm, with tickets $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The evening performance, with supper included, starts at 7.30pm with tickets at $15.

Afternoon and evening performances will differ.

All proceeds will go towards a piano for the Wagstaffe Hall.

Tickets are available from Robyn Warburton on 4360 1709 or Ann Dillon on 4360 1612.
