$70m Financial Strategy quarterly report released
Council's General Manager, Mr Peter Wilson, has released his quarterly progress report for December last year on the progress of the council's "financial strategy" projects.
Peninsula projects included: The Woy Woy Library (cost $710,000): Council's library services manager is holding discussions with the heritage conservation planner over building options for an extension.
Council is also ascertaining the availability of $80,000 of potential grants for the project.
Peninsula Youth and Recreation Centre ($1.5 million): Concept plans have been prepared for the re-development of Woy Woy pool complex to augment the proposed indoor recreation centre.
Construction is expected to commence in April 2001.
Woy Woy Community Centre and Little Theatre: Construction to start in September and be completed in June next year.
Projects either approaching or have reached completion included: Umina Police Community Youth Club: Awaiting a development application for stage two.
Construction expected to begin in April and finish in September.
Ettalong CBD: Due for completion in September.
