Umina senior cricket teams in winning position

With two rounds remaining, Umina Cricket Club's top four grades are all vying for a semi spot in the regular competition.

Their One Day side is also in contention in the Limited Overs competition.

The First grade side is outright first, while the other grades are either in the top four or well in contention.

Prior to the last round, Umina held a slender lead in the Club Championship.

This is something that Umina has never won in Seniors, although the Junior Club took out the award last season.

Not only are Umina looking at getting as many sides into the semis as they can, but are also looking at being the best club in the competition.

Highlights since Christmas are: 1st Grade: Jason Riley 93 runs Vs Matcham, Michael Bull 5/44 Vs The Entrance, Paul Sharpe 66 not out and 4/45 Vs Woy Woy, Jamie Doran 61 Vs Woy Woy.

2nd Grade: Scott Brown 78 runs Vs The Entrance.

3rd Grade: Mick Cowan 5/30 Vs Woy Woy, Rob Engelshus 62 Vs Woy Woy, 5th Grade: Paul Watson 60 Vs Woy Woy, Ian Holmes 5/57 Vs Woy Woy and 78 Vs Narara, Robert Duke 65, Adrian Whitten 115 Vs Matcham.

6th Grade: M Bourke 5/15 vs Matcham.

One Day Limited Overs: A Woods 83 (off 46 balls), T Clarke 60
