Umina Rotary club hears about Shelter Box program
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach has heard about the Shelter Box program in an address by Mr Greg Gropenbaccher, past president of the Rotary Club of Kariong-Somersby.
Mr Gropenbaccher told Umina Rotarians that the program put together kits of essential survival items for people who had been rendered homeless by conflict and natural disasters.
Individual Rotary Clubs could purchase the kits and have them dispatched to areas of need at very short notice.
