Local species added to Paul St reserve

The Paul St Reserve continues to benefit from a council Protection of the Environment Trust grant to the Grow Urban Shade Trees group for Umina Coastal Sandplain Woodland species.

"Our latest addition is a beautiful melaleuca quinquenervia, a broad-leaved paperbark," said group member Ms Jen Wilder.

"A wide range of insects, birds and bats absolutely love these trees.

Some of the GUST team recently took the opportunity to have a "weed and feed" session in the reserve, with member Ms Lesley Harvey providing savoury muffins and warm tea.
