Naidoc Day at college attracts 400 students

A Naidoc Day was held at Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy campus on Tuesday, July 30, for more than 400 First Nations students from across the Brisbane Water Learning Community.

It was reported to be a day filled with cultural pride, learning, and joy for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Highlights of the day included traditional dances and a grand corroboree performance and making indigenous head-dresses, showcasing creativity and tradition.

There was cultural art where students contributed to a beautiful indigenous artwork showing connections.

The artwork will make its way back to each school so it can be showcased as a mural.
