July ends with above average rainfall

July has ended with a rainfall total of 86.4mm, 9.4 per cent above the month's average of 79mm.

A total of 13mm in the last five days of the month brought the year's total at the end of July to 1085.9mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

This was 20.9 per cent above the average cumulative figure at the end of July of 898mm.

The first two days of August have seen falls totalling 2.4mm, with the August average being 66mm.
