Pearl Beach experiment with pickleball
Pearl Beach Tennis and Recreation Club has been experimenting with pickleball to see if there's interest and to explore the practicalities.
The club has tried it in the Memorial Hall with the court marked out with masking tape.
The club also sourced a kit with lines that can be laid down on the synthetic grass tennis courts, so the club is trying it there too.
The project is still being developed, with club members getting used to the scoring system, and practising new skills.
