Our 600th edition
This issue of Peninsula News is our 600th edition.
That is quite an achievement for a newspaper, which is owned and run by a voluntary non-profit community group, as a community service.
Peninsula News has no paid employees.
Its only substantial cost is the printer's bill.
The cost of almost 20 cents per paper is covered entirely by sponsorship in the form of advertising and the occasional small donation.
No government funding is available for the production of the paper.
We regularly receive feedback that Peninsula News is appreciated and provides a valuable role in informing our Peninsula community of activities and issues affecting residents.
Our continued success relies on continued support from the community - both in the form of voluntary effort and financial contribution.
With an increase in both, we could print more pages and increase our print run - to include more news and reach more of our community.
Please celebrate with us and show your support for Peninsula News.
