Ettalong students to provide their own supplies
Parents of students at Ettalong Public School have been told that the school does not charge fees but students may be required to provide some of their own supplies.
Students in Years 3 to 6 were required to have their own pencil case, ruler, scissors, glue sticks, colouring pencils, eraser, sharpener, a "healthy supply" of HB pencils, a set of highlighters, a drink bottle and lunch box, said school principal Ms Lynn Balfour.
Stage 3 students were required to have red and blue or black pens as well.
"All stationery items for Kindergarten, Year 1 and 2 students are supplied by the school, although we ask that your child supplies their own glue sticks."
All students will be required to purchase a mathematics textbook for 2021, costing about $18.
"The Life Education Van (Healthy Harold) will be at the school at the very start of the year," said Ms Balfour.
"The charge for this activity is $7, with the school subsidising rest of the cost.
"A note will go home when school resumes."
