New guidelines for aged care visits
New guidelines have been issued by NSW Heath for visits to local aged care facilities.
All staff and visitors must wear a surgical mask within the facility
Residents can have a maximum of only two visitors each day.
The 60 minute limit to visits no longer applies, however they should be kept as short as possible
Among reasons visitors may be excluded are: if they have Covid-19 symptoms, have been to any of the currently listed locations or are a close contact of a person with the coronavirus within their self-isolation period.
Peninsula Village chief executive Mr Shane Neaves said the village would "support our residents' personal welfare by facilitating regular communication with family and friends via telephone calls, video conferencing or window visits and continuing our activity programs".
