Garage fire contained in an hour

More than 20 firefighters battled a fire that broke out at a property on Fairview St, Woy Woy, on Monday, January 18.

Firefighters arrived on scene a just after 2.30pm and found a large volume of smoke issuing from a garage at the rear of the property.

Crews contained the blaze in just under an hour, while specialist Hazmat teams worked to contain chemicals and fuel that were found inside the premises.

NSW Ambulance attended but no injuries were reported.
