Restoring the Peninsula's lost character

The local Grow Urban Street Trees group is leading the way, restoring the Pennisula's lost character (Peninsula News, issue 510).

This small group of volunteers has recognised the urgent need to re-establish vegetation cover and protection.

However, is this the responsibility of GUST or the council?

What could be achieved if the council was efficiently managed?

The Administrator's media release (January 9) advised the termination payment to former CEO Gary Murphy would be $380,000.

Splitting this amount between five wards gives a bonus of $76,000 for community projects.

What has .been lost during the life of this council?
