Softball results

Peninsula Ducks Softball Club has reported three losses and a draw in its round of games played on Saturday, January 17.

The Modball team drew with Mingara blue 10-all.

Club president Ms Di Barrymore described it as a "great result for our kids".

"Great pitching got us off to a great start.

"We held off a strong Mingara side with some amazing fielding.

Despite a 14-11 loss to Blue Thunder in Teeball, "all the kids played really well", she said.

Ms Barrymore said she was happy with the junior softball team despite a 13-7 loss to Mingara.

"We got our first seven over the plate in one innings and three out before they got seven across."

In Division 4, the Peninsula Ducks lost 13-10 to the Decoys.

"Time was against us," said Ms Barrymore.

"We stuck it out but just ran out of time before we could finish our batting innings."

The Modball team were fourth of six on their ladder, with three wins, two draws and four losses.
